EDOT rheology probe model numbers EDOT25AP-B38P105-# and EDOT40AP-B38P105-# are designed to work with Anton Paar MCR Rheometers or other models that can accommodate the Shaft for Disposable Measuring Systems D-CP/PP 7, Anton Paar Cat. No. 10636. Please contact us if you have a different rheometer brand and Shaft for Disposable Measuring Systems.

EDOT rheology probes may be utilized with a bottom plate having an inset well, and the paint or coating is applied to the well by way of a syringe and scraper. Anton Paar Inset I-PP60/SS-Pan 50x0.15 D. 60 mm Stainless Steel plate (Anton Paar Cat. No. 135033), designed to work with Anton Paar Peltier Thermostated Temperature Device P-PTD200 (Anton Paar Cat. No 16090), works well for 150-micron thick films. Each EDOT rheology probe can be supplied with a waste paint catcher, Model WPC-B44P59C-B44P106B that works excellently for this well plate. The waste paint catcher effectively keeps applied coating or paint from spilling onto the rheometer, from running underneath the well plate, and is easily removed before continuing a test. Please contact us if you are using a different model well plate and hence require a different size waste paint catcher. The waste paint catcher can be cleaned with water or MEK solvent. For best long-term service, it is recommended that coating or paint be cleaned from the catcher as soon as possible. It is not recommended to soak the waste paint catcher in water or solvent used for cleanup. It is recommended that the waste paint catcher be dried immediately after clean up, followed by polishing with a soft, dry, cloth. Currently, the waste paint catcher is only sold in combination with the purchase of an EDOT rheology probe.
